In attended direct cremations, mourners take part in a service and can see the coffin in the chapel area to pay their respects. Mourners can remain in the chapel for a few moments before crematorium staff move the body for its final journey. Crematoriums typically provide staff to show you in and out of the crematorium at the appropriate times. Some will offer you a selection of music or readings, if you feel that would be appropriate.
